We are hiring for an Associate Manager Finance -limited contract for 1.5 years-

 

Shure Europe is responsible for accounting services, including the preparation of financial statements, for the Group's European units. As Associate Manager Finance you will be responsible on one hand for respective entities, organizes, and coordinates the periodic financial and accounting studies and reports to the local tax authorities. On the other hand, you will analyze general ledger accounts according to the local accounting principles of the distribution units as well as the consolidated group accounting. This position is based in Eppingen (Germany).

 

Responsibilities

  • You will lead the process and account analysis for monthly and annual financial statements and will ensure the accuracy of supporting documents to meet the requirements of group and local accounting of the distribution units.
  • You will be covering for individual distribution units in the absence of the responsible entity-accountant.
  • You will be the main contact person for corporate, external auditors and local financial service providers, during the preparation and annual audit of financial statements according to group and local accounting.
  • You will prepare journal entries (including balance sheet accounts, income statement reviews, and results of foreign subsidiaries) for month/quarter/year’s end closing.
  • In addition you will create reports and analysis to get clarification on accounting treatments of business transactions for local management and group accounting.
  • You will assist other departments with questions around financial accounting as required as well as financial applications, e.g. Concur  
  • And you will permanently review accounting principles in accordance with group and local accounting for all units.
  • On top you will be the sparring partner for ad-hoc enquiries and the development of financial systems as well as their master data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field or an additional Finance specialized training (Bilanzbuchhalter m-w-d).
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in accounting, including financial statements.
  • Experienced in applying the German Accounting Principles (HGB) as well as international accounting rules of USGAAP
  • Profound knowledge and proven experience of internal control assessments.
  • Confident handling of common Microsoft systems, advanced Excel skills are required.
  • SAP S4 HANA experience is expected
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, good organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to work on multiple challenges at the same time.
  • Hands-on mentality, willingness to challenge the status-quo and high IT affinity.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
