Are you a skilled workplace specialist looking for a new challenge? Would you like to take on the responsibility of more than one UK location and can travel to oversee works and projects as well as the day-to-day running of our locations?
We have a wonderful opportunity to join our Workplace and Security team in the UK, where you will support our Regional Distribution Centre in Waltham Abbey and our prestigious London Customer Experience Centre, ensuring an efficient and safe working environment for Shure Associates. The role supports the coordination of facilities management, projects, health & safety, and sustainability activities at these locations by assisting the Senior Manager, Workplace and Real Estate.
Based at our Waltham Abbey distribution centre as the primary key-holder, you coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance at our UK locations with a confident and proactive approach. You are responsible for all UK locations and travel to oversee works and projects, as well as the day-to-day running of the locations.
Do you have the expertise to ensure our UK facilities are safe and compliant? We are looking for a confident, friendly communicator, ideally with a background in Engineering or a trade role. IWFM or NEBOSH certifications would be desirable.
Enjoy the responsibility to oversee both hard and soft services, including cleaning, landscaping, waste disposal, lift and security system maintenance, and manage contracts for electrical, gas, printers, and coffee machines. Confidently handle UK help-desk requests, including maintenance, access cards, desk setups, and promptly and courteously resolve tasks.
Conduct regular facility inspections, compliance checks, and statutory testing, and address equipment alarms and failures. Coordinate with insurance surveyors and fire risk assessors; develop and execute action plans.
Can you oversee the UK H&S committee, fire drills, Fire Marshal, and First Aid training, and maintain safety documents? You will be responsible for creating presentations, analysing data, producing reports, coordinating meetings, and taking minutes.
Develop vendor relationships to ensure high service levels and quick response to urgent issues. Manage the procurement and maintenance of office supplies, furniture, appliances, and essentials.
