Overview

Join Our Team as a Metrology Technician!

Under the supervision of the Supplier Quality team, the Metrology Technician II provides services for incoming inspection and performs precision measurements on samples provided by SQEs or process engineers. The technician ensures the accuracy of the data obtained and maintains records in accordance with procedures. Additionally, the technician is responsible for managing tools and equipment within the laboratory as needed.

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform dimensional measurements on raw material samples or internal assemblies.
  • Conduct inspections based on blueprints to ensure the specifications match the parts being measured.
  • Develop receipt inspection methods, including routines for automated equipment, work instructions, and provide training to other associates or quality inspectors as needed.
  • Provide or coordinate internal calibration services and manage the external calibration of equipment.
  • Maintain the PM (Preventive Maintenance) database.
  • Perform administrative and maintenance tasks within the department.
  • Clean and maintain test facilities.
  • Handle other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

 

  • Completed Technical Degree in Electronics
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • English proficiency at 60% (written and conversational)
  • Experience in metrology, mechanical inspection, and measurement
  • Familiarity with measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision systems
  • Experience with CMM operation (preferred)
