Join our team as a Procurement Specialist I and become an essential part of our procurement operations.

You'll work under direct supervision, assisting the procurement team with transactional tasks, daily management activities, and project support. Your role will ensure timely execution of tasks while maintaining compliance with procurement processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Interfaces between cross-functional teams for product transitions to ensure timely completion of all purchasing related tasks.
  • Initiates and analyzes necessary reports to communicate up-to-date material tracking and availability status to key stakeholders.
  • Ensures material availability by proactively mitigating risks to material procurement commitments and advising management on their status.
  • Analyzes and optimizes SAP master data settings as required.
  • Develops, maintains and distributes measurement reports as required.
  • Participates in developing best practices for the procurement department, which includes developing efficient ways of doing business.
  • Performs daily systems support related tasks.
  • Develops, fosters, and enhances multi-departmental relationships between Shure and key suppliers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related to the Supply Chain field (i.e. Materials, Logistics, Planning, etc.).
  • Entry level to 2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in English at 90%; Spoken and written.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement practices, terms, negotiation concepts, business law (i.e. Uniform Commercial Code-UCC for United States-except for Louisiana) and learns to use professional concepts.
  • Able to travel locally or internationally approximately 5% of the time to visit suppliers if required.
  • Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
  • Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.
  • Essentials Certification as an SAP supply chain user preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills including ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Able to manage time well, handle and prioritize multiple tasks, and complete them with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational skills including change management and project management.
  • High standards of integrity required.
