Overview

Step into a high-impact leadership role as an SAP S/4HANA IT Architect – FICO, where you'll shape global finance solutions, drive innovation across SAP landscapes, and collaborate with key stakeholders to transform business processes worldwide.

 

In your role as SAP S4 HANA IT Architect, FICO you will play a technical leadership role within the SAP organization across Central Finance, Central Payments, GL, AR (Accounts Receivable), Margin Analysis, Product Costing, Cost center Accounting, Internal Orders, Global taxation, Period end close, Intercompany, RAR, Credit Management, Treasury and integration with other key modules including Sales & Distribution, Materials Management and Manufacturing. In addition, you will be serving as a primary liaison with key business stakeholders in Finance globally.

 

This position will initially involve hands-on technical solutioning, configuration, design and delivery and will expand to people management and leadership opportunities over time. You will be responsible for driving the global FICO design and solutioning across SAP and related applications (Tax engine – CCH/Vertex, DPAO etc,). This role will also work with the global business teams and the global SAP team to identify opportunities to promote leading industry practices, streamline and drive system driven business process improvements.

 

This position requires exposure to industry best practices and technology trends with the ability and interest to expand across technologies, when required.

 

This role will be hybrid (3 days a week) based in our Niles, IL location.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing solution expertise, hands-on solution design, performing solution build/configuration, build test cases, test execution and implementing integrated end to end solutions
  • Responsible for providing solution design in the FICO modules and integrations with third party bolt ons like CCH/Vertex(Tax engine), DPAO/Paymetric (Credit card processing), EDI, Ariba and  related deliverables for large, transformational, global projects.
  • Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders, understand business requirements, provide deep SAP Functional expertise in the related process areas (SAP AR, AP, GL, Credit Management, Margin Analysis, Controlling, Product Costing, Inter-company, Tax, RAR, Financial reporting & Consolidations), demonstrate knowledge and experience with key integration points, perform fit / gap analysis, proto-type and frame up solution design options and present to key stakeholders for decision making
  • Examine and evaluate existing business processes as well as key challenges/ opportunities within the key process area identified above
  • Work closely with the SAP analyst/leads to perform the necessary design reviews, and deliver quality solutions within time and budget
  • Drive root cause analysis and trouble shoot technical issues and propose solutions
  • Continually review evolving SAP technologies within SAP FICO areas to assess potential impact, and propose innovative solutions and/or enhancements to existing business processes.
  • Collaborate and support the SAP Team located in US and Asia time zone during development, testing and implementation
  • Understand the data & analytical platform capabilities and support the implementation of during blueprint, testing and go live; Support the newly established Data Governance processes
  • Ensure solution design proposal adhere to the established security and data standards.
  • Participate and support all phases of the key projects including planning, blueprint, solutioning, development, testing and support as needed
  • Adhere to the low code, no code governing principle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. Graduate coursework is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience with a heavy focus on SAP Finance solutions (SAP AR, AP, GL, Credit Management, Margin Analysis, Controlling, Product Costing, Inter-company, Tax, RAR, Financial reporting & Consolidations), and integration with other SAP modules like PP, MM, SD etc and at least 4 years of experience on large, transformational initiatives in a fast paced, complex, global environment with business operations in key countries like US, Mexico, China, Germany, Hongkong, UK
  • Experience providing solution and driving large, global, transformational initiatives.
  • Knowledge and integration experience handling 2 ERP systems (SAP-ECC, SAP S4), Business Intelligence, Data platform, Third party tools like DPAO/Paymetric, CCH/Vertex, EDI
  • Demonstrate ability to work on complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Process-oriented with high attention to detail in exercising experience-based judgement to determine appropriate methods and actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Able to quickly learn new concepts and technology
  • Able to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Minimal global business travel as needed, once / twice per year

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $128,100 - 217,800, with a target salary of $170,000 aligned with midpoint. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
