Overview

Do you enjoy a sales challenge and thrive in building innovative software strategies? 

 

As the Senior Director, Software Sales, you will lead Shure's newly formed global software sales overlay team and strategy as we expand into software and licensing. You will focus on accelerating software revenue by working closely with regional sales teams and partners to drive adoption, renewals, and up-sell opportunities. You'll work work closely with key stakeholders across our regional sales teams, product management, marketing, and strategic alliances to accelerate the adoption and sales of our software solutions.

 

This role is critical to integrating our offerings with our hardware solutions, executing our go-to-market strategy, and ensuring long-term customer success and partner enablement in key markets.

 

This leadership position is hybrid and based out of our Niles, IL Corporate Headquarters. 

Responsibilities

Lead Global Software Go-To-Market Strategy

Design and implement a scalable go-to-market approach that aligns with our existing sales model, empowering regions and partners to drive software growth.

 

Enable and Train Sales Teams

Develop playbooks, tools, and training programs that equip our global salesforce and partners with the skills and knowledge to sell software solutions effectively.

 

Drive Regional and Channel Sales Execution

Partner closely with regional sales leaders and key channel partners to embed software into sales plans, account strategies, and customer conversations.

 

Support Deal Structuring and Pricing Strategy

Guide the development of complex deal structuring and pricing models in collaboration with finance and legal teams, ensuring competitive and scalable software offerings.

 

Own Software Sales Performance Metrics

Define, track, and report on key KPIs—including attach rates, adoption, bookings, and renewals—delivering actionable insights to executive leadership.

 

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, SaaS, or licensing, with at least 5 years in a global or senior leadership role.
  • Proven success in scaling software sales within a hardware or technology company.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS models, recurring revenue strategies, and software GTM execution.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global sales organization.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and executive presence.
  • Experience in Unified Communications (UC), Collaboration, or AV technology industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with channel and direct sales models for software is preferred.
  • A background in both enterprise and SMB markets is preferred.
  • Knowledge of licensing structures, usage-based pricing, and cloud-based software models preferred.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $184,5000 - $332,1000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
