In your role as Specialist II, Leadership Development, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution and delivery of extraordinary Associate leadership development experiences, ensuring alignment with Shure’s strategic business and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) goals. You will have a primary focus on supporting global leadership development experiences while ensuring success of regional projects that are part of these experiences. 

 

Additionally, you will collaborate and coordinate project execution with the Sr. Manager, Leadership Development, HR Global L&D team, Global HRBPs, facilitators, and leadership development vendors. This role will be responsible for general project management and execution support for logistics, communications, budgeting, expense tracking, summarizing feedback, and measuring the impact of various leadership development experiences.

This is a hybrid position based in the Chicago area, with expectations to periodically work at Shure’s Niles headquarters, as needed.

Responsibilities

Manage, monitor, and drive execution of global leadership development experience preparation, logistics, and program delivery

  • Develop and manage overall execution plans with team action items and due dates for multiple concurrent leadership cohorts
  • Manage aspects of each cohort’s leadership experience, including program logistics, budgeting, expense tracking, and Microsoft Teams project setup, as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate leadership development experience effectiveness and key metrics, using data and post-program feedback to drive continuous improvement and adaptation

Support leadership experience communications

  • Develop and manage communications plan with the Sr. Manager, Leadership Development, HR Global L&D team, regional HRBPs, and HR Senior Staff
  • Draft or revise communications for target audiences 
  • Track key messages, target audiences, and planned global communication dates for all leadership development programs and projects

Manage facilitators and key vendor relationships

  • Confirm and communicate with internal or external leadership development program facilitators
  • Manage key vendor meetings, communications, contracting, and dashboard monitoring, as needed
  • Identify, evaluate, and support selection of new vendors, as needed

Manage budgeting and expense tracking

  • Coordinate with HR Global L&D team to track invoices and expenses for all leadership development cohorts
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Leadership Development and Finance team to create annual budgets for leadership development experiences, then summarize and allocate actual expenses to business units

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of work experience at a for-profit organization is required
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area is a plus
  • Certification related to Program/Project Management and/or experience managing multiple concurrent learning, leadership development, or other projects is preferred
  • Preferred key skills or knowledge areas include:
    • Strong MS Office Suite capabilities, especially PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel
    • Strong knowledge of project or program management tools and methodologies
    • Thinks critically and strategically
    • Highly organized and self-motivated
    • Communicates clearly and concisely
    • Develops collaborative and trusting relationships across all levels of an organization
    • Sets expectations, adjusts when needed, and holds themselves & others accountable for meeting established expectations and deadlines
    • Oriented toward making decisions and acting
    • Demonstrates proactive problem solving

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $68,400 - $109,500. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
