In this role, as a PCB Associate Staff Engineer you will have direct involvement of the design and documentation of PCBs and PCB assemblies. You will also complete complex projects, in additon to helping support, train and mentor PCB Design associates in all functions of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Participates on Sustaining Engineering, new product development or advanced development teams.
  • Imports or accesses schematic data from the appropriate development engineering department for use in the design of a PCB at all levels of complexity.
  • Designs and documents all elements of a printed circuit board utilizing the appropriate software application library.
  • Creates PCB assembly drawings along with Mechanical Engineering used for documentation and by the manufacturer of the PCB assembly
  • Sends/transmits PCB and PCB assembly data to a designated manufacturing facility for fabrication and/or assembly.
  • Redesigns or revises exiting PCB designs for cost reduction or to solve electrical, mechanical or manufacturing problems.
  • Contributes to the creation of new department processes and procedures and initiates new processes after recognizing the need for improvement.
  • Leads departmental projects and acts as a liaison to other cross-functional departments.
  • Provides work leadership and training, guidance, and mentoring to lower level members of the PCB Design Department staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.  Graduate coursework and leadership experience is desirable. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience possessing wide-ranging knowledge in PCB design using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Proficient in the Siemens EDA DxExpedition tool.
  • Demonstrated ability of working on complex assignments where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Determines methods on new assignments and provides guidance to other personnel.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $111,300 - $178,100. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
