Join Shure as a Legal Operations & Contract Manager and help shape the future of our legal operations! 

 

In your role as Legal Ops & Contract Manager, you will play a key role in optimizing operations for Shure’s Global Legal Services team, including maintaining and improving systems and processes for contract review and management, knowledge management and other legal functions. In addition, you will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, and manage contract lifecycle. This role also involves ensuring efficient cross-functional collaboration and implementing best practices to drive continuous improvement across the organization. This role will be hybrid (3-4 days/week in-office) and based in Niles, IL. 

Responsibilities

Contract Management: 

  • Draft, review and negotiation commercial contracts (MSAs, SaaS, NDAs, SOWs) to ensure alignment with business objectives, contract review guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • Advise and support internal clients on contract-related matters, such as interpretation, clarification, modification, termination, and renewal
  • Develop and implement contract policies, procedures, and playbooks to meet legal requirements and business needs

Legal Ops:

  • Develop, implement and maintain legal processes and systems to improve efficiency, ensure legal compliance and risk management, and support legal request intake, contract management, and knowledge management
  • Manage legal department projects, develop legal resources, and provide training to support engineering and product development processes as well as marketing and sales activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal clients to align legal operations with business objectives
  • Collaborate with legal and non-legal stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies through technology and process improvements, managing legal department projects, and supporting day-to-day operations  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, contract administration, or contract negotiation (combination of law firm and in-house experience is preferred)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong experience with maintaining contract management software
  • Project management experience with scoping, planning and implementing legal technology and processes
  • Knowledge and familiarity with product development and software development processes is preferred
  • Experience with legal intake and/or AI contract review solutions is preferred
  • Experience with reviewing and negotiating SaaS, software, technology and IT-related agreements is preferred

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $102,300 - $174,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
